Our story began in Austin where we found ourselves swiping right into each other's lives. Our first date was at Central Machine Works where I showed up with my little dog Blue, and Oliver and I hit it off right away. I thought he was so cute and sweet and loved how easy it was to talk to him.
We began exploring the city together, finding our favorite spots and hidden gems that quickly became part of our life together in Austin. From paddle boarding at Jessica Hollis to hiking around the Greenbelt, we loved spending time with each other and exploring the outdoors together. Through a combined love for traveling, trying new restaurants, and above all—enjoying quality time with each other, we became each other's go-to person and best friend over the last 3 years.
I knew I wanted to marry Faith when I realized we both had the same weird sense of humor, not only did we complete each other’s jokes, but completed each other in life.
After thinking about the perfect time to propose, I decided to surprise her during our first vacation in Japan. Unbeknownst to her, I had planned a day where we would go to Akihabara to spend the afternoon shopping and then head to Rikugien Gardens, a quiet and serene Japanese garden where the proposal would take place. Faith tried her hardest to change our plans, but fate and persuasion kept everything on track. Thankfully, Faith was caught completely off guard, and our photographer captured the perfect moment on the Chidori bridge.
Rikugien garden was the perfect place to affirm our commitment to each other and celebrate our future lives together. We can't wait to celebrate April 19th with all of you, and establish this date as our "forever anniversary."
